Health, hope and helping hands

Community heath care visits offer basic first aid advice which is often lacking. The opportunity is also taken to monitor pregnant women, child development, and general sickness along with praying with those in need. Emergency transport to the hospital is sometimes needed!

In Mozambique the disabled are often ostracised from society; they're not valued or given the same opportunities as other. Pastos Verdes stands alongside disabled children in our local community with home visits, practical help and a weekly support group for the families.

When we first got to know Joao and his family he was unable to walk and very uncooperative! His family struggled to know how to help him. A year or so on and he's walking with help, smiles lots and life for all his family is more joyful. He will always struggle with cerebral palsy but now there is hope ahead.
