Skills and Training

Building towards a brighter future

There isn’t enough sufficient employment for the adult population, even for those who are able to complete secondary school. Each pupil has to pass the school year to continue to the next and those who struggle, drop out before reaching secondary education. We encourage children to finish their schooling and offer English and literacy classes to support them.

Practical tuition is given through the carpentry and welding workshop, giving people the ability to earn an income for their families. Santos has known us since we’ve been serving in this community. He initially started learning many practical skills alongside Orlando, and his abilities were soon spotted. He was supported through a plumbing course by Pastos Verdes and upon completion has since had on-going employment.
